The Devoured Keeper is the first release in the Sculptural Story Series by Faithful Woodworks — a collection of relief sculptures created around themes, characters, and stories that invite a closer look.

The Craft

Carved from solid brown maple, this sculptural relief uses layered depth, shadow, and flowing detail to create movement within a compressed vertical frame.

Each piece is precision-carved using CNC technology and then hand-sanded, refined, and finished in our Washington workshop.

Care Instructions

To preserve the sculpture:

• Display indoors in a climate-controlled space.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high humidity.

• Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.

• Condition occasionally with Benji's Board Butter to maintain depth and luster.

Wood is a living material. Subtle movement and variation over time are natural characteristics of solid wood.

Natural Wood Variation

At Faithful Woodworks, every sculptural relief is handcrafted in our Washington shop using premium hardwoods.

Because wood is a natural material, each relief will vary slightly in:

• Grain pattern

• Color tone

• Striping proportions

• Natural wood movement

These variations are not defects — they are part of what makes each piece one of a kind.

3D sculptural reliefs are crafted within their collection design using the listed hardwood species. 

No two pieces will be identical.

Minor variations, subtle color shifts, and natural wood characteristics are expected and embraced as part of handmade craftsmanship.

Shipping & Fullfillment

Production Time

Each piece is carved to order and individually finished by hand in our workshop.

Please allow 2–6 weeks for carving, hand-finishing, and curing prior to shipment.

Production timelines may vary slightly during peak seasons.

Shipping

• Devotional (11”) and Classic (16”) sizes include complimentary U.S. shipping.

• Statement (24”) size ships at calculated rates based on destination and packaging requirements.

All sculptures ship via insured ground service and are carefully packaged to protect depth, edges, and surface detail.

Larger-scale pieces require reinforced packaging to ensure safe delivery and are fully insured during transit.
