    What begins as protection becomes consumption.

    Carved in layered relief from solid brown maple, this sculptural panel captures tension through depth and shadow. Flowing lines contrast with sharp, intentional detail, creating movement within a compressed vertical frame.

    Brown maple was chosen for its fine, tight grain, allowing for smooth transitions and refined surface detail. The subtle warmth of the wood enhances the dimensional carving without distraction.

    Each piece is precision-carved, then hand-finished to preserve the organic integrity of the material. No two panels will ever be identical. Grain variation and tonal shifts are part of the character of the work.
